October Edition of Aviation Consumer Magazine has a very positive review of AvNav EFB. Written by Editor Larry Anglisano it covers almost every aspect of AvNav EFB in great detail. It goes behind the scenes and talks about how the App started its life as a flight planning tool and later evolved into a full-featured Navigation App. It also has detail of approach plate geo-referencing process and the quality measures put into place. Finally it mentions our concern about inappropriate use of Electronic Flight Bag in the cockpit as primary means of navigation. Overall a very interesting read. We have been working hard to add some of the shortcoming mentioned in the article – such as overlays of AIRMETS/SIGMETS/PIREPS, SUA/MOA and restricted airspace display. These feature may appear in AvNav before article hits your mailbox.
